“JOURNEY IS STARTED!!!”

Starting to work on your goals effectively and as soon as possible is very crucial to get success in life. Waiting for the right moment just wastes time and nothing is obtained from it. I have worked on my goal and changed it to a smart goal which is “ To get a job to support my family and myself. I have worked 10% on this issue and I need to work very hard, hunting for jobs every day, sending my resume so that I can work in top engineering firms in Pakistan. I will get the job by the end or middle of October.”

One of the main reasons for having this goal is because I want to feel useful and become a working fellow. I need to repay my parents for their sacrifices, difficult choices and hard work for my upbringing. Almost for 10 years my aim was to work in the top engineering firms like my father.

I worked very hard to achieve this goal and there are many challenges that I had to face along the way. I tried to enhance my knowledge for better career progression by pursuing study options abroad but did not go through it due to CONVID. I was hunting for jobs before becoming a part of AMAL, but my vision and aim was not clear on How to do it ? How to apply? How is my resume ? whether it’s good or not?

I converted my goal and divided it into sub categories. My first task was to create an eye-catching CV because my resume before was not very good in presentation. First, I go through all the samples from the internet and different websites. After obtaining the bigger picture I cultivated my CV in the best professional manner possible. My experience was very good by creating a resume, learning a lot of new things which I didn’t know about myself. Although there are many difficulties along the way too, all the editing and input of data and then correction because one cannot afford mistakes in a resume.

My next task is to find the companies in which I can work, apply for job vacancies that are available. Resume my hunt for jobs. I am also considering enhancing my technical and personal skills by joining different courses like NEBOSH, IOSH, communication and career planning and so on. I have also started to work on gathering technical knowledge by looking over different institutes. As well as that I joined AMAL to enhance my communication skills and proficiency.
