An idea is the salvation of an individual imagination. Hundreds or thousands of ideas are formed in a day, half of them are not applied because the individuals are very scared of the loss or wastage of time. An idea has no worth until it is applied in a practical field. There is a quote of Albert Einstein which fascinated me, “If at first, the idea is not absurd, then there is no hope for it.”

While looking for an idea, I considered the necessity which is very crucial for human beings to survive in the tough and hard life. During this time many ideas came to my mind which I rejected or approved with a certain percentage, but one hit its mark. I decided to Introduce a platform named “RUHANIYAT”, to groom and educate people and children with different ages, teaching them basic education and guide them the way to educate and enhance themselves to lead a better life.

This idea came to my mind when I was managing construction work at home. A boy, working, came to me and asked for an address written in urdu. The address was written clearly, I asked him with a surprise, you don’t know this! and he said, I didn’t go to school because my father did not want that and he pushed me towards labor and since then I am doing this work. This boy was 18 years old working in construction work for 5 years.

My idea was to form an organization, teaching individuals and separating them in different age classes. Those people who had to quit their studies during childhood and were forced to work as labor, even the old people who do not have sufficient basic education are invited here. The concept I am using is to guide and develop a passion for education in the heart of ones and change their belief that earning money is better than education. I want to add a soul of teaching in them by introducing short courses regarding basic english, mathematics, computing fundamentals and so on. The main purpose of RUHANIYAT is to train an individual that can never say that phrase, “I cannot read or write because I left my studies and was limited by the information of the world and people were stopping me.”

For the solution of this idea, I have to gather as much information as possible about the school work, gathering volunteers, teaching curriculum and many things. I divided this problem into small units and started working on them. I contacted a school in Multan, Punjab and talked to the principal of the school who worked 20 years in the education business and now started her own school. When I shared my idea and vision of opening a platform and she quoted, “The people in Pakistan do not know the importance of education, most importantly people here do not consider long term planning and only prioritize living day to day basis.” With an example she described, “Parents who didn’t get education don’t want their children to get educated whereas they put them to work as labourers, driving cycle taxis or introducing them to work where the parents work. Additionally, children, when they get the taste of money, consider education a waste of time and very hard.” She further added, “We as a teacher should teach them the importance of education and promote them and change their thinking.”

I also contacted a teacher working in Karachi with an experience of 30 years, teaching children primary education. When I explained to her my goal and asked her what I need to do to achieve this, she said, “Most important thing you can do is to groom them, show them the path that you can be something else. Provide them an exciting and colorful curriculum which will attract them and show them a difference between educated or uneducated fellow and build their confidence.”

The process was very exciting, there were many people who did not give me a response but it didn’t stop me. While searching for more knowledge about my idea I got to collaborate with these individuals who showed me what should be my main motive. The advantages I received from all the research showed me a pathway to move ahead with this idea and provided a helping hand in my dream.
