“Give me six hours to chop down a tree and I will spend the first four sharpening the axe.”

-Abraham Lincoln

My journey with AMAL started three months back with a goal to enhance myself in this harsh reality, and it proved a well-spent time with oceans of learning and knowledge, getting to know people from different areas, interacting with them, playing games was really exciting every weekend. The last session was rousing and stimulating, as we played a fun activity, collecting different objects and taking selfies with them. The main lesson I got from the last session was to move forward and always try to learn different things and accept different challenges. Now I can say that I know, “What to do?”, by doing what I like the most. It was also a sad moment for me, for saying goodbye to beautiful people I have interacted with and shared with each other thoughts, ideas, and experiences.

Talking to people, sharing your thoughts, giving importance to others really calms the mind and brings the hidden inner strength and self-confidence which is really crucial for everyone after having a tiring and hectic week or day. By talking to AMAL fellows gave me conviction and courage. In the last session talking with fellows was appreciating and fun. All of us were sharing each other’s thoughts and ways of communicating with each other. Our mentor gave us really good advice for the future and how to live your life with Khudi in the heart. The daily routine of a person really tires him and if one does not open to someone, it’s going to explode when the pressure reaches its peak. So it’s very helpful to speak to someone with an open heart, get to know the ideas of a third or fourth person.

Nowadays, ways of communicating are getting easier and easier day by day. It’s not that we are living in the nineties. I will be keeping in touch with all of my batchmates through different social media platforms and applications, communicating with them, getting to know what is going on with everyone’s life.

In the past three months, all of the learnings were very crucial and critical for me to learn to move ahead in the future as a professional and personally too. I am going to use all of these findings in my life ahead. Communication skills, business writing, and communication knowing yourself, passenger series, all of them are the steps for me to climb the peak I want to reach. I really appreciate every moment I spent in sessions with everyone and was one experience that I will never forget.
